Am I a candidate for Microneedling?

Anyone in good health who desires to revitalize their skin is an ideal candidate for Microneedling. However, you are advised not to undergo the procedure if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Immune system-related problems like eczema and psoriasis

  • Solar Keratosis

  • Elevated moles

  • Active acne

  • Keloid Scars

Additionally, those with diabetics or currently on blood thinners are not candidates. This procedure can aggravate your condition and lead to complications. Likewise, it should not be done in areas where there is an open or raised wound.

If you have a history of cold sores, make your provider aware of this. Pre-treatment of cold sores may be required prior to treatment

Treatment Duration and Frequency

One treatment session of Microneedling can take 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the number and size of areas to be treated and the extent of skin damage.

While the number of treatments will depend on your skin condition and your personal aesthetic goals, most patients achieve best results in 3 to 4 treatments

To resolve deeper scarring and stretch marks, you will need as many as 6 treatments.

For mild anti-aging treatments and skin maintenance, you may do well just 1 to 2 treatments in a year.

Each treatment session is spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart
